Tangors are a cross between a tangerine and a sweet orange — inheriting the easy-peel convenience of a mandarin with the full, rich flavor of an orange. The Temple Tangor is a Florida classic with a long history in the state, while the UF Tangor is a newer University of Florida release bred for performance under modern growing conditions, including improved tolerance to citrus greening (HLB). If you want flavor-packed, easy-peel citrus with some built-in resilience, tangors are an excellent choice.
