The Fukumoto Navel is an early-season navel orange that originated in southern Japan as a mutation on a Washington navel tree. It is known for its excellent fruit size, attractive red-orange color, and reliable early ripening — often ready several weeks ahead of standard navels. The trees tend to stay somewhat smaller and more manageable than many other navel selections.
At North Florida Citrus Nursery, our Fukumoto Navel trees are appreciated for their early harvest window and compact growth habit, making them a great choice for growers wanting fresh navels sooner in the season.
